I lost count!

I lost count as to how many days into my cleanse/elimination diet I am now. I had big hopes to blog about it everyday, but I am a super busy girl, and just cannot find the time.

Anyway, it's going well. I am in the middle to end of week 2 - I had to eliminate meat and legumes out of my diet this week in addition to everything else (dairy, soy, wheat, gluten, tomatoes, corn, food, etc.) so I have been eating like a rabbit all week! Fiber and protein form my Mediclear which I put into a smoothie with fresh or frozen fruit, rice milk and pear or carrot juice. Plus, lots of good fruits and veggies, rice and potatoes.

It's been interesting. Thought I'd be dropping the pounds like nothing... not so much. I have officially lost about 7 pounds since I started on Monday the 27th of October, which I guess is a lot, but doesn't feel like it. I figured I am consuming between 500-1000 calories each day, so you'd think I'd be dropping a lot more! My blood sugars are staying consistent though... it was 91 3 hours after my morning smoothie.

Next week is my last week drinking the stuff. This coming Monday marks my last week, then the Monday after that I start introducing foods back into my diet. What should I try first???? I know dairy is going to be a NO GO, I know I have issues with it.

Anyway, it's been fun but very challenging. I am a lot stronger and have done SOOO much better than I thought I would.

ARE YOU KIDDING? I am doing the Dual Action Cleanse (and adding more veg and less meat/junk in my diet but no strict rules) and have lost maybe three pounds since the 15th. You're doing great, so keep it up!
